Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)
Wairau is a secondary level maternity unit with approximately 500 births per year. The core and LMC Midwives work as a team with our Obstetric, Anaesthetic and Paediatric colleagues.
Our small team of LMC midwives support safe, high-quality care through rostered days on and off, and an appropriate caseload number. This position is designed to provide continuity of care for women unable to access a self-employed LMC.
We have the following positions available (please indicate your preference in your cover letter):
Permanent – up to full-time
Fixed-term and full-time position covering parental leave for up to 10 months

To be eligible for these opportunities you will be a qualified and NZ registered Midwife.
These positions are best suited to enthusiastic midwives who wish to work in an environment that values teamwork, excellence in midwifery practice and women-centred care.
Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of NZ approved Covid-19 vaccines as they have direct contact with patients and members of the public.
