Right now, we’re looking for a qualified Physiotherapist with a passion for working with children, to join our Child Development team. We’re after someone who is passionate about child and youth development; someone who is dedicated to helping young people achieve positive health outcomes. Sound like you?
The SCDHB Child and Youth team offers a rewarding career and the opportunity to learn diverse skills in a supportive environment. You will be working with other health professionals in a clinical, home and educational settings. You will provide a service for children and young people with their family/whanau/carers, ensuring effective assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and education as appropriate.
In short, you will be contributing your specialised healthcare knowledge and expertise to the team, all towards the goal of maximising each child’s growth potential.
Candidates must have the following:
A NZ registration as a Physiotherapist and APC
Possesses a high level of clinical knowledge and experience in all relevant areas of clinical practice
Clinical experience in Child Disability or Child Mental Health will be an advantage
Good initiative and self-management skills
A current driver’s licence
You will be instrumental in supporting SCDHB to become an effective customer driven service, supporting the needs of our most vulnerable children and young people.
