Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)
We are recruiting for a NZ registered Physiotherapist who is a registered or associate Hand Therapist.
If you have an interest in Hand Therapy and are keen to pursue the pathway to becoming a registered Hand Therapist, whilst continuing to work with flexibility across areas we would be keen to hear from you also.
This is a permanent 0.65FTE position working an average of 52 hours a fortnight. You will be based within the physiotherapy team at Wairau Hospital in Blenheim.
The workload would include providing input to hand therapy patients in either our inpatient unit (a combined surgical, orthopaedic and medical ward) in our modern outpatient department, or out and about in our semi-rural community. There’s plenty of opportunity for an interesting and varied workload.
You will be working as part of an inter-disciplinary team providing quality assessment, intervention, advice and discharge planning through a patient-centred approach. The role requires you to be adaptable to change, resourceful and flexible to service needs. The appointment will contribute to the weekend oncall roster.
