Exciting and sought-after positions for new or recent graduate Physiotherapists in our rotational staff training programme for January 2019.

We are seeking enthusiastic team-players who are keen to grow their knowledge and skills across the range of clinical areas offered within Southern DHB. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach towards learning are essential.

We take pride in supporting our staff to grow as clinicians, so we run a well-developed on-going support and professional development programme, which will nurture you to evolve into a capable and confident Physiotherapist. The programme includes regular in-services, senior staff mentoring, peer-review, a comprehensive on-call competency training framework and access to course and conference funding.

Our DHB sits across two main hospital sites; Southland Hospital in Invercargill and Dunedin Hospital. Both sites offer a supportive and varied environment, where you will be able to develop an array of capabilities and a strong foundation of core skills to enhance your future practice.

The rotational programme at Southland Hospital has four monthly rotations in areas including acute inpatient services (medical, surgical and orthopaedics), rehabilitation inpatients (AT&R), musculoskeletal and general outpatients (including hydrotherapy and groups) and community.

The rotational programme at Dunedin Hospital has four monthly rotations across all areas of acute inpatient services (cardio-respiratory, including ICU, medical, surgical, orthopaedics and paediatrics), inpatient rehabilitation, musculoskeletal outpatients and community.
